This weeks 'accident'...

The quotes are there because to my eyes it was no accident. There I am on the cycle path and watching a taxi running by the side, he looked at the cyclists on the cycle track, who had a green BTW and turned right into them, the right being on a red FFS.

Lots of shouting and screaming ensued. The taxi driver slowly got out of his car and appeared genuinely pleased with himself.

So, he ran a red light, and ran into the cyclists knowing they were there. My only conclusion is it was a deliberate attempt to kill or seriously injure.

If you have an alternate view point I would be pleased to know...

1:55:39

Today's commute beat my previous best of 1:56:34, and whereas previously I had a tailwind, today's was with a headwind!

You should be able to ...

"You should be able to do new development and bug fixes (to a previous release) in the same branch."

That was courtesy of a lead architect at one of my clients. I just love Denmark, they make me look real good.

Am I jealous or what?

Listen to this lad/las playing the guitar: http://www.compfused.com/directlink/1363/

When I were but a lad I could play like this, yeah, like, in my wildest dreams...

Notice, though, this guy/gal, when he/she makes mistakes they are generally musically correct mistakes; gosh I wish I had had his/her music teacher.

Wot! No Ambulances?

Apparently, today, due to the good weather, there are so many out on their bicycles that the emergency services in Copenhagen and surrounding areas they've called on, have run out of ambulances to service all the accidents...

As long as it's the rough ones I don't mind. ;-)

This weeks accident

I see at least one accident a week on my cycle commute to work. Admittedly I am in the saddle for over 2 hours and cycle down the side of one of the busiest roads in Denmark, Roskildevej. But for crying out loud, the road is dead straight, well lit, and has made the manufacturer of traffic lights very rich.

Todays accident was a rear end shunt, a Police car with lights and horns going ran a red, a car stopped and the car behind ran into them. Nothing too surprising in that, except I could see the Police car by looking through the windows of the shunter as he changed down and accelerated to beat the plod to the lights!

No hot water!

There's no hot water in the shower at work. So I had to make do with the stuff pumped, it felt, direct from the artic. Reminds me of boarding school. It may take all day to get over this, yet I guess it'll make it easier working with all these lovely Danish ladies.

Also reminds me that in the papers they are discussing John Prescotts manhood, apparently a chipolata was used as measurement, and won.
